Helpful Tip from the Garden Geeks: How to kill Bermuda grass.
Where ground freezes, plow or fork shallowly in fall so roots are exposed to air through winter. Farther South rely upon forking out and frequent cultivation; or smother with crop of fall grown rye, followed by a crop of cowpeas or velvet beans. Chemical methods or eradication have not proved successful.
If it is a small area, and you don't run any risk of killing surrounding plants, boiling water or vinegar will do the trick every time!
