Helpful Tip from the Garden Geeks: Transplanting Parsley for Wintering Indoors is Easy!
Just soak the ground around the plants the day before you want to transplant them. Dig the plants by leaving a small ball of soil around the roots, and set in a container in soil that has not been treated with chemical fertilizer. Trim off at least half of the outer leaves or more (most of the leaves will die off but cutting back makes new growth) and set in a well lit window. It requires several hours of sunlight a day to do well. Water sparingly at first, increasing as growth starts.
