Helpful Tip from the Garden Geeks:  To store squash and pumpkins be sure to leave them with at least an inch of stem. Place them on shelves padded with straw or hang them up in nets in a cool place above freezing. Their solid skin allows storage for several months. Be sure they don't touch one another.
