Helpful Tip from the Garden Geeks: If you find yourself spending most of your time with your outside plants during the summer, your indoor plants may need a little pampering. Indoor plants collect dust which, if covered in enough, can cut off their oxygen. To clean small plants, cover the soil with a piece of cloth. The fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add a few drops of plain dish washing soap. With your hand holding the cloth in place, flip the houseplant over and gently swish it around. Now rinse it in clear lukewarm water. Be sure that the plant you are cleaning is not the type that doesn't like wet foliage.
