Helpful Tip from the Garden Geeks: Azaleas need at least five hours of sun to bloom well. Try to plant them where they will get morning sun but have some protection from the bright sun of midday and afternoon. They prefer moderation in moisture, as well, so avoid placing them near a downspout or any other place prone to excessive moisture. They like acid soil and light pruning.
