Helpful tip from The Garden Geeks: Your bulbs need phosphorus and potassium. Give them both by adding bone meal to the hole before planting, for a long lasting phosphorus fix. Then after your daffodils or tulips bloom, sprinkle some wood ash on them for a nice helping of potassium.
