Helpful tip from The Garden Geeks: Don't wait until last frost to get your garden started. Plant cool crops now! These crops grow best in the cooler temps of early spring Lettuce, spinach, radishes, onions, carrots, beets, Swiss chard, peas, broccoli, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, cauliflower, kohlrabi and brussels sprouts. Plant salad crops like lettuce, every 10 days and harvest them well into the summer. Then start planting them again to grow into the cooler days in the fall.
