Helpful tip from The Garden Geeks: Did you know you should always pick strawberries when they are still about 25% white? They will turn berry red in a day, and you will avoid the risk of having over ripe fruit rot on the vine if rain delays the harvesting. For best flavor, always take the whole stem and handle the fruit gently to avoid bruising.
