Bloom Description: Exotica Porcelainflower (Hoya carnosa) bears dense, convex umbels, to 2 1/2" across, of up 20 star-shaped, waxy, night-scented, pure white flowers, 1/2in across, with red coronas: sometimes produces 2 or more umbels per stem.
Soil Type: Under glass, grow in soil-based potting mix with equal parts added leaf mold, sharp sand, ground bark and charcoal. Outdoors, grow in fertile, moist well-drained soil

Notes for Identification:

Vigorous, stem-rooting, succulent, often epiphytic climber with ovate, rigid, very fleshy leaves, to 3 long, usually smooth and dark green, with yellow-flushed, pink-variegated leaves.

Do not remove old flower stalks because new inflorescences develop on them. Flowers may be followed by long, cylindrical seeds with tufts of hair. Pruning group 11, after flowering.
