Notes for Identification: This is oneof my favorites it can have several different color combos on each flower at the same time, looking like a multiple plant. This picture is one of my favorite unusual color combos. Dahlias can be grown as an annual in most zones or they can be dug, overwintered, and replanted in the spring. All dahlias should be staked if they are 30" or taller or if the bloom is 6" or larger.
